Afterschool Care

Foxborough Regional Charter School partners with the Hockomock Area YMCA for Afterschool care. The Y provides fee-based afterschool care until 6pm daily right here on campus at FRCS. The YMCA also offers on-site care for FRCS students on half days and offers programming on school vacation weeks.
 
  • The Y’s afterschool care program will operate to support children ages 12 and under.
  • The Y offers 2, 3, 4, & 5 day per-week options for FRCS families.
  • Massachusetts state vouchers are accepted and the Y has ROFY scholarships available for families who qualify.
 
In addition to receiving a daily snack, students participating in the Y’s afterschool care program will enjoy a variety of enriching activities – both indoor and outdoor. Activities include STEM health and wellness, and arts and crafts. Students will always have an opportunity to complete their homework while at aftercare.  
 
Please know that FRCS does not handle registration and payments for the afterschool program. All registrations and payments must go through the YMCA. Please contact the YMCA directly if your child has a schedule change or will not be attending aftercare as scheduled.

Cost Per child $50 registration fee due at registration, per child
  • 5 days $169.00 per week
  • 4 days $148.00 per week
  • 3 days $125.00 per week
  • 2 days $84.00 per week
 
Sibling discounts are available.

Hockomock Area YMCA Inclement Weather Policy
As it relates to the Afterschool Care program at FRCS. 
 
If FRCS:
  • Delays the opening of school, this will have no impact on the program as we do not have a morning program
  • Cancels school, The YMCA will run a No School Fun Day program for enrolled participants at our local YMCA Branch (unless the YMCA as a whole is closed or has altered hours)
  • Has an early release due to weather, the YMCA will NOT be running the afterschool care program
  • Cancels afterschool activities but the building will remain open, the Y will run a program unless the YMCA makes the decision to not run programs. 
 
The YMCA will communicate any weather related updates about programming to enrolled participants.
