Mrs. Jean Lewis talks about our fee-based regional transportation service that is offered at FRCS.

Hello. My name is Jean Lewis, and I am the Transportation Coordinator at the Foxborough Regional Charter School.

The Charter school is pleased to offer a fee-based Regional Transportation program. As a regional school we do our best to offer community bus stops throughout the in-district communities in the areas of greatest demand. We are not in the position to offer neighborhood or door to door service.

Late spring the Regional Transportation Application will go Live on the school’s website. The date and time have not yet been determined, however, it is important to make note once announced as bus assignments are issued on a first come, first served basis. Once the date and time the transportation application will go live is determined that information will be posted on the website, as well as, communicated to enrolled families via email. Reminder, a seat on a bus this year does not guarantee a student a seat on the same bus next year.

The regional transportation application will ask you to select your first, second and third choice from a list of bus stops. Once your application is submitted online you will be required to complete the application process by submitting the required deposit and non-refundable application fee.

The Board of Directors will determine the cost of the program year to year. All families will be expected to submit the deposit and non-refundable application fee. Financial assistance will be available to those who wish to apply. Such assistance will offset any future payment and does not apply to the deposit or application fee.

It is important that you follow the instructions outlined in the application process carefully. Only applications that have completed all steps will be considered for bus assignments.

Bus assignments will be communicated to families early each summer.

Students who live in the Town of Foxborough should reach out to the Town’s School Transportation Department directly (508-543-1600) to let them know that their child will be attending the charter school in the fall. The Town coordinates all school transportation for its residents. They will let the Charter school know which bus your child is assigned to and the bus schedule.
