FRCS Announces Valedictorian, Salutatorian of Class of 2026

Foxborough Regional Charter School (FRCS) is proud to officially announce the top two student leaders of the Class of 2026: Valedictorian Jay Bhatia of North Attleboro and Salutatorian Mukilan Dayasankar of Foxborough. Both students will deliver their respective addresses during the school's 23rd Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 29th, 2026.

Throughout their educational journeys, Jay and Mukilan have embodied the FRCS motto: “Enter to Learn, Exit to Lead.” Their accomplishments reflect not only a mastery of academics, but also the values of integrity, curiosity, and community engagement that FRCS strives to instill in every student.

Jay Bhatia has consistently demonstrated a profound passion for the STEM fields, particularly Mathematics and Physics. His remarkable academic drive will carry him to Carnegie Mellon University this fall, where he has been accepted to study Computer Science. Jay's high school career has been defined by an exceptional balance of rigorous academics, multi-sport athletics, and school leadership. He served as Captain of the FRCS Robotics Team, Captain of the Math Team, President of DECA, and Captain of the Wrestling team. Beyond these appointments, he contributed his time to Student Council, Mock Trial, Varsity Soccer, and Varsity Volleyball. Jay is an active member of multiple honor societies, including the National Art Honor Society, the National Science Honor Society, and the National Green School Society. Outside of school hours, Jay gave back to the regional healthcare community by volunteering at Miriam Hospital and working as a rehabilitation aide at a local physical therapy clinic.

Mukilan Dayasankar has spent his entire educational journey at Foxborough Regional Charter School, attending the institution continuously since Kindergarten. Driven by a deep commitment to personal effort and service, Mukilan will be attending Fordham University this fall at the Rose Hill campus. He will study Finance within the prestigious Gabelli School of Business as part of the Global Business Honors Program, with ultimate aspirations of attending law school. As a long-standing member of the FRCS community, Mukilan leaves behind a rich legacy across leadership, the arts, and athletics. He served as Co-Captain of the FRCS Robotics Team and was an active member of the Mock Trial team, the Varsity Soccer team, the Varsity Volleyball team, and the Science National Honor Society. A talented musician, he also performed as a flutist in the school Orchestra. Dedicated to community development, Mukilan spent his out-of-school hours volunteering as a student teacher at Shishu Bharati in Walpole and working locally with children in the FRCS elementary school's extended day program.
