Elementary School Recognizes Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day!

Tuesday, November 14th is recognized as Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day. Ruby Bridges was the first black child to attend formerly "whites-only" William Frantz Elementary School in Louisiana in 1960. This was a huge moment for Civil Rights and a day that is recognized in our community as a day to celebrate Ruby Bridges, her courage, and the courage of all black and brown people facing adversity.

On Tuesday, our Elementary school community came together to celebrate Ruby and her bravery. Students walked to the building together, carrying signs, to raise awareness to this important day in our history.
