Meet Our FRCS Student Athlete of the Week!

Each week, we recognize our student athletes who are excelling on and off the field or court. We're pleased to announce that Saige Freitas-Rogers is the the Foxborough Regional Charter School student athlete of the week.

Saige is a Junior at FRCS, and a captain of the Volleyball team.  Saige's favorite class is AP Environmental with Ms. Sullivan.  She enjoys learning from Ms. Sullivan – she says she is very relatable, personable and makes the class fun and interesting!  The class also talks about real issues with what is going on in the world.  Ms. Sullivan is her all time favorite teacher here at FRCS.  Saige and Ms. Sullivan discuss athletics together and the athletic college recruiting process.  Her favorite athlete of all time is Purdue volleyball player Chloe Chicoine.  Saige sees similarities in her own game and Chloe’s. They are both smaller hitters with lots of power!  Saige’s hobbies include working out, playing basketball, hanging with friends and shopping.  Her favorite food is a smoothie bowl called Acai bowl, because she says it “tastes like ice cream but is healthier for you”!

From her coaches: "Saige "Doogie Howser" Freitas-Rogers. Team captain and former league MVP continues to lead team in kills, aces, points on serves and blocks. Saige is the most powerful hitter in the league and always keeps the team spirit up.  In a recent game Saige started a match with 14 straight points on serves.  10 of them were aces!  The team she is captain of is 8-0 and has swept all 8 best of 5 matches in 3 sets."
