Calling all Elementary School parents and guardians! Room Parents are needed for your child's classroom for the 2023-2024 school year.
Being a room parent is a great way to get involved, and meet new families. The role of the Room Parent is to help develop a strong sense of community within your classroom.
Room parents will support by:
- Collecting donations for teacher gifts (holidays, birthdays) and Teacher Appreciation Week
- Organizing fun events or activities for the classroom (playground, bowling, trampoline park)
- Helping to generate support or interest in PTO activities or events. For example, room parents may help the PTO promote an event by reminding parents in their child's classroom of an upcoming event or fundraiser
- Supporting the teacher with projects if requested by the teacher (please let the teacher know you are the room parent)
We're asking for 2 room parent/guardians per K-4 classroom to volunteer so more parents can get involved and work together! The time commitment will be different per grade, but plan on at least 1 hour per month.
