This week, Foxborough Regional Charter School Kindergarten students donated over 400 food and pantry items to local families in need!
Teachers loaded up two cars, full of the items brought in by students and delivered them to the Foxboro Food Pantry. Students collected can items, cereals, snacks, drinks, and non-edible items like toilet paper and paper towels. The food drive was Kindergarten's Community Service Learning Project for this term.
Ms. Smith's Aggie class collected 137 of those items! During their math class, students sorted the items by category, and then counted them one by one!
In addition to these items, the generous students created cards and pictures to be given to families who stop by the food pantry. The kids say they are happy to give to others, and really hope that the cards make people smile!
FRCS Kindergarten has plans to stock the Foxboro Food Pantry again in the Spring!
