Grade 4 Walk-A-Thon
- Grade 4 Walk-A-Thon
- 10/4/2019, 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM
On Friday, October 4th the entire 4th grade will be participating in our first Community Service Learning Project for the year.
This project will raise money for the American Red Cross. The American Red Cross is an organization that provides emergency assistance and disaster relief to many families in our area and all over the United States. Money raised will help families affected by Hurricane Dorian.
All of our 4th grade students are invited to take part in this activity to raise money to help families affected by Hurricane Dorian. All money will be donated to the American Red Cross.
All students are expected to participate in the “Walk-a-Thon”. Students should collect pledges from friends or family members prior to the day of the walk-a-thon. The pledge sheet must be signed by a parent. All money and pledge sheets will be turned in to their classroom teacher the week of Monday, September 30th through Friday, October 4th, the day of the “Walk – a – Thon”. All of the pledges are a flat donation, not a per lap pledge.
Students will be walking laps around the school campus. It doesn’t matter how many laps each child does, it matters that they took the time to participate and do something to benefit others.
Students that complete 4 or more laps will have their name put in a drawing to have lunch with the principal, Mrs. Benson.
Please contact your child’s grade 4 homeroom teacher with questions.
