FRCS Hosts Southeastern Massachusetts Association of Student Councils Winter Conference

On Wednesday, January 15th, Foxborough Regional Charter School had the pleasure of hosting hundreds of High School Students from around our region for the 2019 Southeastern Massachusetts Association of Student Councils Winter Conference.
The conference, one of three held each year, is an opportunity for young leaders to gather together and work on growing their confidence, team building and leadership skills. Student leadership is a pillar of our Mission at Foxborough Regional Charter School, so hosting the conference was an honor!
The keynote speaker of the Winter Conference was Rob Powers. Powers, a history teacher and self described "35-year old StuCo kid" spoke to the students about what it means to be an authentic leader who makes real and lasting connections. During his powerful message, Rob reminded the kids the importance of finding who they really are, and being that person.
After a delicious dinner, the students attended workshops focused on a variety of topics, from communication to personal management.
Congratulations to the FRCS Executive Board, Ms. Perkins, Ms. Goddard and Mr. G for organizing this incredible event. Well Done!
