Big doings in Middle School Computer Class with Ms. Dolan. All Middle School Students NOW HAVE or will have a FREE Microsoft Office 365 account. [Office 365 is a cloud-based suite of productivity apps like Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and more.]
They will be able to access their Office 365 Account in school AND at home by searching Office 365 or going to Portal.Office.Com from a computer with internet. Their Office 365 log-in will be their school email address, which Grades 6, 7, and 8 were given in class and should have written in their school agenda, lovingly known as their "License to Learn" in computers. Grade 5 will be given their email information in January.
Not to worry, students are only able to email within the Foxborough Regional Charter School (FRCS) Network: -students @frcsfalcons.org or staff -@foxboroughrcs.org. They are not able to send or receive electronic mail from outside our FRCS community, at this point in time.
Also, School Brains usage is on the rise. ALL Middle School students have their accounts up and running. They are checking their grades and missing assignments at the beginning of every computer class. It's never to early to teach students to advocate for themselves. Students can be responsible for their grades and future endeavors, in the hopes to better prepare them for High School, and College and provide the skills needed to serve their community as leaders and exemplary citizens.
