K-12 Comprehensive Developmental School Counseling Program
The goal of a K-12 comprehensive, developmental school counseling program is to continually improve the outcomes for all students in academic, college and workplace readiness, and social/personal domains. The American School Counselor Association (ASCA – www.schoolcounselor.org) and the Massachusetts Association of School Counselors (MASCA – www.masca.org) have published models as guidelines. More information about them is available on these sites. These are endorsed nationally and by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as best practice. The FRCS Guidance/School Counseling Department has been designing and delivering programming aligned with these Models for over ten years in an ongoing and continuous improvement process.
