Holocaust Stamps Project News and Updates

A Community Service Learning initiative of FRCS teaching life lessons based on world history:

  • To educate about the dangers of prejudice, discrimination, and bullying
  • To promote tolerance, acceptance, and respect for diversity
  • To raise awareness of the magnitude and impact of 11 million innocent lives lost as a result of the Holocaust

LATEST COUNT:  8,898,093 stamps have been donated and counted as of February 2017!

CONGRATULATIONS to Charlotte Sheer and Jamie Droste!  They will both be receiving a Leadership in Holocaust Education Award from Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston.  The JCRC of Greater Boston will present the awards to Mrs. Sheer a former FRCS teacher and the Holocaust Stamps Project founder along with Mrs. Droste, FRCS Student Life Advisor.  Both educators will be honored at Fanueil Hall in Boston on Sunday, April 23, 2017, (Yom HaShoah) Holocaust Remembrance Day.  They are receiving this prestigious award for their outstanding work in shaping young minds, sharing thoughtful insights, instilling compassion and teaching others about the importance of standing up for injustice.

Please help us COLLECT  11,000,000  POSTAGE STAMPS to honor the memories of six million Jews including 1.5 million children, plus five million others targeted by the Nazis for their diverse backgrounds and beliefs.  Students are creating a series of 18 original, postage stamps collage artworks, based on events and effects of the Holocaust.
