Holiday Mail for Heroes

Holiday Mail for Heroes – American Red Cross & FRCS Grade 1 Students Supporting our Military !

This week Mrs. Charlette and students in Grade 1 viewed a video from the American Red Cross about the Red Cross program “Holiday Mail for Heroes”.

They learned that making and sending greeting cards to veterans, service members in hospitals or serving overseas and away from home during the holiday season they would make a soldier’s day a little brighter.

Each student enjoyed making colorful cards to be sent to a service member.  Those cards were then sent to the American Red Cross who will sort, distribute and send the cards overseas.  The cards and personal messages, sent by tens of thousands of Americans, provide a welcome “touch of home” for the troops during the holiday season.
