Important Information for New FRCS Families

Although the school offers a Regional Transportation program, seats on the buses are assigned, they are obtained by registering for services.  Registration is done by appointment only once your student has been accepted and completed the enrollment process, an offer of enrollment does not guarantee transportation.  Seats are limited by capacity laws and unfortunately at this time many routes are full.  Therefore, please do not attempt to access transportation unless you have received a bus route/stop assignment communication AND your student(s) have received their Bus Passes.  All eligible students will be issued a Bus Pass at our Annual Open House or in their Homeroom on the first day of school.  Students must show their bus pass to the driver each day upon entering the bus.  The pass entitles students a school bus ride to and from school.  Students are to ride only the bus to which they are assigned.

New Late Bus Routes to Begin.......

As the after school Academic Enrichment programs have grown the need for additional Late Bus services has also grown and it is necessary to redesign the current Late Bus routes and change the existing scheduled times and route/stop assignments.  The new routes will be posted to the school website over the school break and will begin Monday, February 22nd, 2010.  The new Late Bus route with the bus stops/times and your new assignment will be emailed to you over school break.  Please help support student safety by discussing the important safety rules included in your email with your child.  These rules are important and need to be followed so that your student(s) are transported safely and the program is successful.

Transportation registrations submitted via mail or hand delivery will be returned.  Transportation registrations will not be accepted after Friday, April 30th, 2010 to register after the deadline date, enrollment proof must be provided.  Please check back frequently for updates, information and forms.

*A Note to Families of Current Bus Riders*

It is very important to register promptly as a seat on the bus this year will NOT guarantee a seat on the bus next year.

Additionally, eligibility for 2010-2011 registration is contingent upon this year's Transportation fees being current.

Past due accounts will not be eligible to register for 2010-2011 transportation.

Beginning October 2009 - Late Buses

To support our various after school Academic Enrichment and Sports programs, Late Bus routes and times have been added to assist student(s) and families in need of transportation, the routes are listed below.  The Late Buses will leave FRCS at 4:30pm, Monday thru Thursday each week except on early release days and there are no late bus runs on Friday.  If there is an early dismissal there will be no late buses provided.  Late Buses may not be used for serving Detention.  Late Buses may not be used if the student leaves school property. There must be completed transportation registrations on file and your account must be current for your student(s) to use the buses.    A ‘Note from Home’ MUST be used for Grades 1, 2 and Kindergarten students on the days they use the Late Bus.  Seats on the Late Buses are first come, first serve and are reserved with a 'Late Bus Pass' which is handed out each afternoon at the beginning of the after school program.  To access the Late Bus the student must be in an approved after school academic enrichment program and supervised at all times.
