Coffee Pond Photography RETAKE Day

If you are not completely satisfied with your portrait and would like to try again, you have the opportunity for a free retake. FRCS School Retake Day is Wednesday, 12/6/17. Be sure to mark your calendar!

Please return the entire, undamaged portrait package to the photographer on Retake Day. If your child has a class photo, please keep it!

Write any suggestions for the photographer on a piece of paper so it shows through the envelope window.  Retake Day is rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, the portraits will be taken indoors against a neutral backdrop.

PIE MEETING – A date for the December meeting will be announced shortly.  All parents of K – 12 students are invited to attend.  Free childcare is provided.

Thank you to everyone that came out to shop at the Book Fair. We hope all of the kids enjoy their new books!  A special thank you to the people who volunteered their time to make this a great event!

SAVE THE DATE – the Elementary School Holiday Fair will be happening on Friday, December 15th.  Planning is underway!!  This will be the traditional Holiday Fair that we all know and love! We will need many volunteers to make this event a success!

Annual Public Open House Showcase & Lottery Application Process Information

Foxborough Regional Charter School holds Public Open House events in January of each year. Additionally, public building tours are held on the second Friday of each month in October, November, March, April, and May.

Families who wish to tour our facility during the months of December, January and February are encouraged to attend our Annual Open House.

2017-2018 Open House Events

These important events are offered for the convenience of families, an evening that is an overview of our enrollment process, curriculum, student leadership and community service programs and a great opportunity to meet our staff and students!  These events begin promptly at 6PM.  The doors will open and tours will be available beginning at 5:30PM.

  • Wednesday, January 24, 2018; Grades 5-9 – MS/HS buildings
  • Thursday, January 25, 2018; Grades K-4 – Elementary School building

Shoe Drive Halfway Mark Event

The grade that collects the most shoes gets a non-dress code day on Thursday Nov 30th.

There will be one (1) winning grade from each campus:

  • Elementary School
  • Middle School
  • High School

The Grade Contest has been extended to Monday, November 27th.

Important News from the Nurses Office – Physical Examination Requirements – Grades 4, 7 & 10

The state law requires that all children have a physical examination entering kindergarten, grades 4, 7, and 10 and upon transfer from another school system. Because your family physician has a comprehensive knowledge of the health status of your child, it is desirable for him/her to perform this examination. An examination that has been done within the past year will be acceptable.

Please have your family physician record the findings on the physical form and return the form to the school nurse before the first day of school. If it is impossible for you to have this done, please contact the school nurse.… Read the rest

Jewish War Veterans of the United States – Scholarship Fundraiser in Foxborough

Next Tuesday evening, November 14th, the JWV Sharon Post 735 will be partnering with the Ninety-Nine restaurant in Foxborough through their Dining for a Cause program to help raise money to support their annual scholarship program.  FRCS is excited to be a participant for the first time this year.

We invite you and members of the FRCS community to come out and assist the JWV and our scholars.  By presenting the coupon (click on the image to print) to your server, 15% of your check will be donated to the scholarship program.

MDPH Oral Health SEAL Program Grades 1-12 Forms Due

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Office of Oral Health will again be partnering with Foxborough Regional Charter School and offering their school based dental program.

The visiting dental hygienists will be offering dental screenings, sealants, cleanings, fluoride varnish and referrals to a dentist in the community.

Look for the paperwork in your child’s backpack this week.

Please return the forms with a yes or no.
