2016-2017

Annual Public Open House & Lottery

Public Open House

Each year FRCS holds a Public Open House for the community to educate interested families on the mission, vision and admissions process of our school.  January 2017 over 750 people attended our Open House to hear about our academic and extra curricular programming.  Please share the word with your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers who may be interested in learning more about our program!

Admissions Lottery

Entry into the Foxborough Regional Charter School is gained through public lottery.  One lottery is held each year in March. Each application is assigned an ID number to maintain anonymity in the lottery process. Lottery applications are categorized into three groups (1) sibling; (2) in-district; and (3) out-of-district. After our lottery on March 8th, 2017 the official count of students on our wait list was well over 2,500!

Holocaust Stamps Project Open House

Sunday, April 30th FRCS hosted our Annual Holocaust Stamps Open House for the community. Over 100 people were in attendance to hear guest speaker and Holocaust survivor, Sam Weinreb talk about his confinement and survival at the Auschwitz-Bireneau Concentration Camp. The collages were available for viewing immediately following the presentation. Despite the cold and rainy weather, it was a nice afternoon inside our media center!  View the Event Program here .

Golden Falcon Award

On Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 FRCS faculty and staff who were formally nominated for the 5th Annual Golden Falcon Award received recognition. We received many beautifully written testimonials celebrating the powerful and positive impact these employees have had on individual students and families. We have tremendously dedicated and talented professionals here at FRCS, and it is wonderful that students and parents were so forthcoming in their nominations. Similarly to our annual honors and awards banquets for students, honoring excellence in academics, service, leadership, and athletics, this ceremony recognizes these attributes in staff members. Congratulations to all well-deserving recipients.  Did you nominate this year? No? Well, there is always next year!
